Mansukh Mandaviya to Undertake ‘Sushasan Padyatra’ in Vadnagar

As India gears up to celebrate the 75th anniversary of its Constitution, a significant event is on the horizon. On December 24, 2024, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will lead a Sushasan Padyatra in Vadnagar, Gujarat. This march will also commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This event aims to engage the youth and honor the democratic values that Vajpayee championed throughout his life.

A Massive Youth Involvement

The Sushasan Padyatra is expected to draw over 15,000 MY Bharat Youth Volunteers from various local universities, colleges, NGOs, and other volunteering organizations. Themed selfie points will be set up to capture memorable moments, making the event more engaging and enjoyable. Cultural performances, educational exhibitions, and interactive sessions will take place at various halt points, highlighting Vajpayee’s contributions to India’s democratic ethos.

Additionally, the Padyatra will feature Swachhta and volunteer-driven initiatives. These initiatives include cleanliness drives, charity events, and medical camps, all organized by volunteers as a precursor to the main event. This focus on community service reflects the spirit of good governance that Vajpayee embodied.

The Route and Cultural Significance

The Padyatra will cover an 8-kilometer route, starting and concluding at the Tanariri Temple. Along the way, participants will visit various sites associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life, adding a personal touch to the event. The march is the fourth of twelve planned Padyatras that Dr. Mandaviya will undertake throughout the year, each focusing on unique themes to inspire the youth and celebrate India’s rich heritage.

Cultural programs will be held at designated halt points along the route. These programs will celebrate the life and legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee while emphasizing the importance of constitutional values. The Padyatra aims to foster a sense of unity and purpose among participants, reinforcing the idea that the youth play a crucial role in shaping the future of India.
