“I am the one rejecting this place, not the other way around.” To emphasize his point, he grabbed some biscuits that were kept on the principal’s desk and ate them before storming out of the office in frustration. Mangal was devastated by this outcome but refused to give up on securing an education for Neel. “Please give him one more chance to prove that he can change,” she pleaded with the principal. “Every child deserves an opportunity to improve their behavior and show their potential.” However, the principal remained firm in his decision and refused to reconsider Neel’s application.
Meanwhile, at home, Kusum was giving instructions to Adit about how to handle Sowmya’s activities during her pregnancy. “You need to tell Sowmya that she shouldn’t be doing any household work or strenuous activities,” she advised him. “She needs to rest and take care of herself and the baby.” However, Sowmya had her own perspective on what she should be doing during this time. “I need to take care of Adit and help with the children’s needs,” she replied. “I shouldn’t be stopped from fulfilling my responsibilities as a wife and mother figure in this house.” Back at school, Mangal decided to try a different approach with the principal by sharing a meaningful example about second chances.
“Every person deserves an opportunity to change and grow,” she explained passionately. “Sometimes children make mistakes because they are struggling with problems at home or need extra support and guidance.” Her heartfelt plea and logical argument finally convinced the principal to reconsider his decision. “I will give Neel one chance to prove himself,” he agreed reluctantly. “Bring him back tomorrow morning at exactly 9:30 AM for a proper interview, and we will evaluate his current attitude and commitment to education.”

“One day Mangal will desperately need money, and that’s when I will demonstrate my real power in this household,” she thought smugly. The next morning, Mangal successfully dropped Neel at school and wished him good luck for his important interview. “Do your best and show them that you can be a good student,” she encouraged him before leaving for her own crucial competition. At the Pehla Swad venue, the workers were anxiously waiting for Mangal’s arrival. The event anchor made an important announcement about timing. “The competition will officially begin at 10 AM sharp,” he declared.

The anchor gave important instructions to all the competition participants. “Please ensure that all mobile phones are switched to silent mode during the competition,” he announced. “We want to maintain a professional atmosphere throughout the event.” Mangal took a moment to pray for divine assistance with the challenges ahead. “Please help me, Bappa, to save Pehla Swad and achieve success in this competition,” she silently requested. The competition began with an introduction round where each contestant was required to share their vision for Pehla Swad 2.0. However, Mangal’s focus was suddenly disrupted when she noticed repeated incoming calls from the school principal on her phone.
Concerned about Neel, she quietly stepped aside from the competition area and returned the principal’s call. “I’m calling to inform you that Neel never arrived for his scheduled interview,” the principal reported with disappointment. “We waited for him, but he simply didn’t show up as planned.” Mangal was shocked and confused by this news. “I personally dropped him at the school this morning,” she explained to the principal. “I have no idea what could have happened or where he might have gone.” She requested additional time to investigate the situation. “Please give me a little time to find out what happened to him,” she pleaded. “I will locate Neel and bring him back for the interview as soon as possible.”

She immediately left the venue to search for Neel, abandoning her chance at winning the Pehla Swad competition. When she arrived at the school, she asked the watchman if he had seen Neel that morning.
“I didn’t notice any boy matching that description,” he replied unhelpfully. Mangal then began visiting nearby shops to gather information about Neel’s whereabouts. One shopkeeper provided a useful lead. “I saw a boy who looked like the one you’re describing heading in that direction,” he said, pointing down a specific street. Meanwhile, Sunitha called Mangal urging her to return to the competition. “You need to come back immediately because the competition has already started without you,” she said urgently. But Mangal’s priorities were clear. “I am searching for my son, and nothing is more important than finding him,” she replied firmly.
Back at the competition venue, the anchor was asking remaining contestants to present their visions for the brand when an unexpected power outage occurred, disrupting the entire event. Meanwhile, Mangal continued her desperate search for Neel throughout the neighborhood. During her search, she came across a group of children who were playing cards in an alley. She didn’t notice that Neel was standing nearby, watching the card game but not participating in it. After she moved away to continue looking elsewhere, police officers arrived at the scene and began arresting all the boys for illegal gambling.
“You’re all coming with us for questioning,” the inspector announced as he began loading the children into the police vehicle. Neel tried to explain his innocent role in the situation. “I was only watching the game,” he protested to the inspector. “I didn’t actually play cards or participate in any gambling.” However, the inspector ignored his explanation and forcefully tried to make him get into the police jeep with the other arrested boys. At that crucial moment, Mangal appeared and saw what was happening to Neel. When the inspector asked about her relationship to the boy, she immediately stepped forward. “I am Neel’s mother,” she declared firmly, ready to protect him from the legal consequences of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
