Kumbhvani FM Channel Launched for Maha Kumbh 2025
The spiritual landscape of India is set to witness a significant enhancement with the launch of a dedicated FM channel for the Maha Kumbh 2025. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the All India Radio Kumbhvani (103.5 MHz) channel at the Circuit House in Prayagraj. This momentous event was attended virtually by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan. The initiative aims to connect millions of devotees with the Kumbh festivities, especially those unable to attend in person.
A New Era of Broadcasting for Kumbh
The Kumbhvani channel is a pioneering effort to bring the essence of the Maha Kumbh to listeners across the nation. CM Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for their support in launching this channel. He emphasized that Kumbhvani will not only gain immense popularity but will also reach remote villages where people have longed to participate in the Kumbh but could not due to distance or other barriers.
The channel will broadcast live commentary and coverage of the Kumbh events, allowing devotees to experience the spiritual atmosphere from their homes. This initiative by Prasar Bharati, India’s public service broadcaster, aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of the country while providing essential information to devotees. Broadcast Details and Special Programming
Kumbhvani will operate from January 10 to February 26, 2025, broadcasting daily from 5:55 AM to 10:05 PM. The frequency of the channel is 103.5 MHz. The programming will include live broadcasts of significant bathing rituals on January 14, January 29, and February 3. Daily updates on activities in the Kumbh area will keep listeners informed about the ongoing events.
In addition to live coverage, Kumbhvani will feature special presentations highlighting India’s cultural heritage. A serial titled “Shiva Mahima” will be broadcast, along with various programs focused on Indian traditions. Talk shows like “Namaskar Prayagraj” and “From the Bank of Sangam” will provide engaging discussions and insights into the Kumbh experience. Health counseling sessions will also be available, allowing listeners to consult with doctors through the “Hello Doctor” program.
