July 2026 Sees Record Grievance Redressals in India

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has unveiled its monthly report for July 2026, highlighting a significant achievement in public grievance redressal by the Central Ministries and Departments. With a total of 216,827 grievances resolved, the report also reveals that the average disposal time stands at just 12 days, showcasing a steady commitment to improving public service efficiency.

This latest report marks the 51st publication assessing the performance of Central Ministries and Departments under the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS). As a part of the 10-step reform process adopted by DARPG, these reports aim to enhance the quality of grievance disposal and minimize resolution times.

Surge in User Registrations

In July 2026, the CPGRAMS portal experienced a surge in activity, with 107,186 new users registering across various channels. Leading the charge, Uttar Pradesh contributed 17,819 registrations, followed by West Bengal with 12,982 and Maharashtra with 10,156. The overall growth in user engagement reflects growing citizen participation in governmental processes.

Common Service Centres Integration

The report also highlights the integration of CPGRAMS with Common Service Centres (CSCs), which have proven vital for grievance registrations. More than 5 lakh CSCs are now operational, engaging approximately 2.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). In July alone, 9,475 grievances were lodged through these CSCs, demonstrating their effectiveness in reaching the grassroots level.

Enhanced Monitoring through Review Meetings

As part of efforts to streamline grievance redressal, the newly operationalized Review Meeting Module allows for Secretary-level reviews of complaints. Since its launch on July 14, 2025, 398 review meetings have taken place, including 17 during July 2026. This initiative aims to further boost the efficiency of the redressal mechanisms and foster greater citizen satisfaction.
