Scene 1: Moon’s Heartache and Hidden Truths
The episode kicks off with Anjana gently urging Moon to eat. “Just a bite, beta,” she says, holding out a spoon. Moon crosses her arms and shakes her head. “No! I want to go to Maa!” Anjana tries to reason, “Arshi is at dance class. I’ll take you later.” But Moon insists, “My real Maa is Nutan! Take me to her!” Anjana’s smile fades. “Don’t say that,” she warns softly. Moon stamps her foot. “I don’t want to stay here!” Anjana changes tactics. “You’ll make friends when school starts! Even Arshi dances there.” As she speaks, Aniruddh strides in. “Let me take Moon out,” he offers. Moon perks up. “Will you take me to Nutan?” Aniruddh’s jaw tightens. “Nutan isn’t your mother.” Anjana steps in. “Let her talk to Nutan. Jhanak moved on—so can Moon.” Aniruddh snaps, “If Jhanak moved on, why didn’t she tell me? She betrayed me… and Parashar.” Memories flash: a younger Aniruddh laughing with Jhanak in a village guesthouse. “I’d never have courted her if I knew she was married,” he mutters.
Scene 2: Shadows at the Village Fair
Meanwhile, Menka fidgets with her dupatta. “What if the marriage goes wrong?” she whispers. Her friend Ishani pats her hand. “Jeet’s tricks won’t win today.” Amba chimes in, “Stay alert at the fair, Ishani.” Nearby, Sandhya quizzes Anindya: “Did Menka’s in-laws ask for dowry?” Anindya shakes his head. “Abhijeet raised rotten kids,” he grumbles. Sandhya counters, “Abhijeet thinks his children are perfect!” Suddenly, Jeet’s gang barges in. Sandhya’s face pales. Anindya shoos her inside. “Don’t worry,” he tells her, though his voice wavers. To Jeet’s men, he asks, “What now?” Gang member Dev smirks, “Jeet proposed to Ishani. Tell Abhijeet—Jeet will marry her. If Menka’s wedding happens, Ishani’s must too.” Anindya nods stiffly. “I’ll speak after the fair.” Dev shoves a plate at him. “Send our food home. And remember—Jeet always gets what he wants.”
Scene 3: The Call That Changes Everything
Back at Aniruddh’s house, Moon sulks on the couch. “Moon isn’t eating,” Anjana frets. Aniruddh shrugs. “What do you want me to do?” Anjana pushes, “Call Arshi. Or Jhanak!” Aniruddh dials Jhanak. It rings… and rings… then disconnects. “Try again!” Anjana insists. Moon leans in. “Who are you calling?” Aniruddh mumbles, “Nutan,” as Moon claps. “Call her! Please!” Nutan’s phone buzzes. Parashar nudges her. “It’s Moon’s father. Answer!” Nutan hesitates. “Moon isn’t mine. I can’t do this.” Parashar softens, “Just hear how she’s doing.” Reluctantly, Nutan answers. Moon’s face lights up. “Nutan! Are you okay? Take me home! I miss you!” Nutan’s voice cracks. “Don’t cry for me, beta.” Anjana urges, “Talk often, Nutan. It’ll help.” Parashar waves at the screen. Moon smiles at him until Aniruddh cuts the call. “Why?!” Moon yells. Anjana scrambles, “Network problem!” Moon glares. “You’re bad!” Aniruddh ignores her. “Get ready. We’re leaving for Arshi’s program.” As Anjana dresses Moon, Aniruddh broods: Parashar’s always with Jhanak. Always.
Scene 4: A Future in Motion
Later, Anindya tells Abhijeet, “Dev came to check the feast.” Menka’s in-laws arrive, and Sandhya greets them warmly. Meanwhile, Nutan tells Parashar, “Moon has a family now. Say I’m dead if they call again.” Parashar nods silently. The episode ends with a chilling precap: Jhanak corners Ishani in the village. “I’m pregnant,” she blurts. Before Ishani reacts, Jeet lunges from shadows and drags her away. Jhanak screams, “Ishani!” as she trips and collapses, clutching her belly in agony.
