Welcome to Jhanak Written Update 17th April 2025. In Today’s Episode, Apu entrusts her son to Kajol’s care as she awaits test results, while Arshi seeks a clean break with Aniruddh through divorce. Amid wedding plans and legal drama, Aniruddh and Jhanak share tender moments that hint at new beginnings….. Scene 1: A Mother’s Promise and Gentle Care

Apu sits near Lalon and holds his hands. She speaks in a low voice, “Lalon, I love you so much. If I cannot live, I want Kajol to look after you.” Lalon looks surprised. Kajol steps forward and scolds her, “Apu, please don’t speak like that.” Apu turns to Kajol and asks, “Don’t you love Lalon too?” Kajol softens. “Of course I do, Apu. But talk like that hurts me.” Lalon strokes Apu’s hair and reminds her, “I told you not to speak of dying.” Nearby, Anuradha calls to Jimli, “Bring sweets for our guests.” Jimli hurries away. Apu’s face lights up. “I want a sweet,” she says. Kajol gently shakes her head. “Not sweets, Apu. They will raise your sugar. Eat fruit instead.” Apu pouts but nods.

Choton glances at Lalon and asks, “Did you skip work today?” Lalon replies, “Apu had a headache. I stayed to help her.” Kajol smiles and teases him, “He loves you, Apu. He never leaves your side.” Mrinalini steps in. “What did the doctor say?” Apu presses her lips together. “We wait for the test results,” she says quietly. Aniruddh leans close to Apu and says, “Get better soon, or your parents will be anxious.” Apu asks him softly, “Don’t tell Anjana yet.” She reaches for the sweets plate, but Kajol moves in front of her. “No sweets,” Kajol repeats. “Here—take some apple.” Apu picks a slice and smiles gratefully.

Later, Anuradha notices wet cheeks and asks, “Why do you cry, Apu?” Apu wipes her face. “You spoke of death,” she says. Anuradha kneels beside her. “I won’t speak of it again,” she promises. Kajol adds, “And you mustn’t speak of it either.” Apu places her hand on Kajol’s. “Then I will leave that to you,” she says softly. Everyone in the room feels the weight of her promise as the moment ends.

Scene 2: Secrets Share in the Lawyer’s Office

Siddarth walks into a small office and introduces lawyer Abhijeet to Arshi. “Abhijeet, Arshi and Aniruddh want a mutual divorce,” he says. Abhijeet closes his folder and looks at Arshi. “Tell me everything,” he invites. Arshi takes a breath. “I met Aniruddh in Kashmir,” she begins. “He showed me kindness when I was lost. Then Jhanak came. Urvashi, a friend, took her own life. Tejas—her brother—arrived too.” Arshi’s voice grows firm. “Aniruddh married Jhanak. I stayed with him and found out I was pregnant. But my baby died. I blame Jhanak for that.” She pauses, then adds, “Now Aniruddh lives with Jhanak in our friend’s house.” Abhijeet nods and turns to Siddarth. “You helped her, I hear?” Siddarth replies, “Yes. She was in deep pain. I told her there is hope.”

Abhijeet opens his briefcase. “Did you sign the papers?” he asks Arshi. She nods. “I want to let go.” Abhijeet studies her. “If you file today, your marriage and divorce dates will match. Then do not appear in court.” Arshi’s eyebrows lift. “Why not?” she questions. “Aniruddh cannot marry Jhanak until this divorce is final,” Abhijeet explains. “If he tries, we will challenge him.” Arshi bites her lip. “I don’t want a fight. I just want freedom.” Siddarth leans forward. “He hurt you,” he says. “Maybe you should make him face it.” Arshi looks down as Abhijeet stands and gathers his papers. “I will draft the notice,” he says, “and we move forward.” Arshi watches him leave, her mind heavy with the choice ahead.

Scene 3: Wedding Plans and Unexpected Meetings

The next morning, Jhanak and her family gather around a table of wedding gifts. Jhanak looks at the decorations and asks, “Do we need all this?” Anjana smiles at her daughter. “They come with love,” she says. Mimi sits beside her and sighs, “I must attend all the pre-wedding functions. After my marriage, I cannot visit the Bose house.” Mimi’s voice cracks. “My parents’ mistakes will follow me. Anirban deserves a better girl than me.” Jhanak reaches out. “Please don’t say that.” Aniruddh steps in. “There may be rules at first, but soon it will be easy.” Anjana nods. “You can win over my family,” she says to Mimi. Mimi brightens. “Let’s change the topic. When is the date?”

Choton clears his throat. “Aniruddh, did you speak to the lawyer?” Aniruddh lifts his chin. “I did. I spoke with Arshi.” Mimi teases him, “So you and Jhanak can’t see each other’s faces after the functions start.” Aniruddh grins. “Let’s eat,” he says. Jhanak frowns. “Restaurant food is costly. I will cook at home.” Anjana waves her hand. “Stop cooking.” Mimi stands. “Let’s go out.” Jhanak shrugs and agrees. They walk out and spot Arshi and Siddarth waiting. Arshi beams. “You look ready,” she says. “Here to shop?” Aniruddh nods. “We pick our wedding clothes today.”

Arshi claps. “Congratulations.” She turns to introduce Siddarth. “This is my friend Siddarth.” Mrinalini welcomes him. “Nice to meet you.” Arshi smiles and adds, “Jhanak, this is Siddarth.” Siddarth bows. “Arshi has told me so much about you.” Arshi laughs softly. “I could not stop.” Jhanak smiles and says, “That is sweet.” Hand in hand, Arshi and Siddarth move on, leaving the young couple to their first day of wedding plans.

Scene 4: Heartbeats and Honest Words

The following day, Aniruddh stands behind Jhanak and wraps his arms around her waist. Surprised, Jhanak yelps, “What are you doing?” Aniruddh whispers, “Why are you surprised?” Jhanak turns her head. “This is not the right time,” she says. Aniruddh presses her hand to his chest. “Feel my heart,” he urges. Jhanak places her palm there but frowns. “I don’t feel anything,” she admits. Aniruddh gently moves her ear to his heart. “Listen to my heartbeat,” he says as he holds her close.

Jhanak pulls away slightly. “Please let me go,” she asks. Aniruddh’s voice softens. “You love everyone else more than me,” he says. They stand in silence for a moment, thinking about their past. Jhanak shakes her head. “Please don’t speak of it,” she whispers. Aniruddh looks into her eyes. “I feel like I live a dream now,” he says. “I have peace and happiness.” Jhanak steps closer. “Do you love me that much?” she asks softly. Aniruddh lifts her chin and smiles. “Do you doubt me?” Jhanak meets his gaze. “I have no doubt,” she replies. They stand holding each other as the episode draws to a close, their hearts beating together in a quiet promise of what comes next.
