Installed Electricity Generation Capacity of NTPC Group crosses 73 GW
The group has installed an electricity generation capacity of NTPC extensionthe leading integrated power producer in India, reached 73,024 MW. This includes 57,038 MW of installed power plant capacity owned by NTPC and 15,986 MW of plant capacity owned by NTPC subsidiaries and joint ventures.
The group’s total capacity exceeded 73 MW with the commissioning of the 660 MW Unit-2 of Phase-I (3 x 660 MW) of the Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar.
This includes 50 NTPC stations (26 coal stations, 7 gas stations, 1 hydroelectric station, 16 renewable energy stations) and 39 joint venture and subsidiary stations (9 coal, 4 gas, 8 hydroelectric and 18 renewable energy stations).
The result reinforces NTPC’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable energy to the nation.
Additionally, the company is committed to achieving 60,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
