INS SUNAYNA ENTERS DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA

INS Sunayna entered the port of Durban, South Africa 21 Aug 23. The vessel undertook a passage exercise with the South African Navy vessel SAS King Sekhukhune I off Durban. After exchanging pleasantries at sea, the ship entered the port of Durban. The vessel was received by Commander Kenneth Singh, Flag Officer, Naval Base Commander Durban and officers from HCI Pretoria.

The visit, in addition to commemorating 30 years of diplomatic partnership between India and South Africa, aims to enhance the interoperability, union and mutual cooperation between the Indian Navy and the South African Navy. While in port, the two navies will share best practices and experiences through professional interactions, subject matter expert exchanges and deck visits, as well as social interactions with senior military and civilian dignitaries.
