Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the UNFCCC CoP 26, Mission LiFE aims to mobilize individual and community actions for environmental protection. The ‘Mission Sahbhagita’ and ‘Save Wetlands’ campaigns have engaged over 2 million volunteers, resulting in the mapping of more than 170,000 wetlands and the demarcation of boundaries for nearly 120,000 wetlands over the past three years. These initiatives reflect India’s commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship among its citizens.
