India vaccination drive has administered 36.71 lakh vaccine doses on day 76. The vaccination drive was rolled out on 16th January 2021.
As on Day-76 of the vaccination drive (1 April 2021), a total of 36,71,242 vaccine doses were given. Among which, 33,65,597 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 3,05,645 HCWs and FLWs received 2nd dose of the vaccine.
India has achieved a milestone in its vaccination drive with the highest ever single-day figure of more than 36.7 lakh vaccination coverage recorded in the last 24 hours.
COVID-19 cases across states
Eight States, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh continue to show a steep rise in the COVID daily new cases. 84.61% of the new cases are reported from these 8 states.
72,330 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.
Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 39,544. It is followed by Chhattisgarh with 4,563 while Karnataka reported 4,225 new cases.
