India makes presentation on e-Shram, world’s largest database of unorganised workers and National Career Service Portal during 4th G20 EWG meeting
The 4th The meeting of the Employment Working Group (EWG) under the Indian presidency of the G20 started today in the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In the opening session of the meeting, Smt. Arti Ahuja, Secretary, Ministry of Labor and Employment and G20 EWG President welcomed delegates and summarized the discussions and achievements during the last three EWG meetings. She wished all success in completing work on the draft ministerial declaration and final documents during the forthcoming sessions.
Delegates from the co-chair countries, namely Indonesia and Brazil, also made statements in the opening session and expressed their optimism about labor competition through fruitful discussions.
India made a presentation on e-Shram, the world’s largest database of unorganized workers and on the National Career Service (NCS) portal. The presentation on the e-shram and NCS portals will also be shared with international delegates who have expressed interest and curiosity about India’s achievements on these fronts.
In further sessions of the meeting, discussions were held on the draft ministerial declaration and final documents aimed at finalizing these documents.
Previously, a morning yoga session was organized for the delegates. Furthermore, a short stretch of yoga was also organized during the meeting. Delegates will also be taken on an excursion to the historic Mandu Fort City.
