India Allocates Funds for Disaster Mitigation

The funding distribution is as follows: Rs. 139 crore each for Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Rs. 378 crore for eight Northeast states, Rs. 100 crore for Maharashtra, Rs. 72 crore for Karnataka, Rs. 72 crore for Kerala, and Rs. 50 crore each for Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. This comprehensive approach aims to reduce the risk of landslides, which pose a significant threat to life and property in these regions.
