His sons noted that Khan remains steadfast, believing that the authorities will not succeed in breaking his spirit. They highlighted the tactics used to isolate him, such as restricting access to books and power outages in his cell, which they believe are intended to weaken his resolve.

Khan has reportedly turned to meditation as a means of coping with the harsh realities of prison life. His son Kasim mentioned that despite the brutal conditions, Khan has developed a meditative practice that helps him endure his situation. The initial days of confinement were particularly challenging, but Khan has adapted, finding ways to maintain his inner strength. His sons, who have not seen him since 2022 and are awaiting visas to visit Pakistan, expressed their understanding of their father’s passion for his principles, emphasizing that he would rather die in prison than abandon them.

Imran Khan has also raised serious allegations regarding the treatment of his wife, Bushra Bibi, in prison. He claims that she is enduring “inhumane treatment” and that authorities are using her as a means to exert pressure on him.
