Gunvatta Sankalp Boosts Quality Standards in Nagaland

The Quality Council of India (QCI), in partnership with the Government of Nagaland, recently hosted the Gunvatta Sankalp Nagaland event at Hotel Vivor in Kohima. This initiative aims to enhance quality-driven growth across various sectors in the state. Following successful engagements in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Odisha, the one-day event gathered senior officials, industry leaders, and experts to discuss strategies for improving quality in healthcare, education, industry, and tourism.
Keynote Address Highlights Commitment to Quality
During the event, Shri Temjen Imna Along, the Minister of Tourism and Higher Education for Nagaland, delivered a compelling keynote address. He emphasized that the people of Nagaland could serve as a “beacon of quality” for the nation. “The pursuit of excellence and quality is at the heart of our progress,” he stated, reinforcing the state’s commitment to quality-driven initiatives. Along highlighted that the aspirations of the local population define Nagaland’s quality, positioning them as the true ambassadors of the state.
QCI Chairperson Stresses Importance of Quality Reforms
Shri Jaxay Shah, Chairperson of QCI, also addressed the audience, underscoring the significance of Gunvatta Sankalp in empowering states through quality reforms. He remarked, “Nagaland is a state that values sustainability, entrepreneurship, and excellenceโqualities that make it a role model not only for India but for the world.” Shah expressed confidence that the discussions during the event would reveal new pathways to integrate quality into Nagaland’s development journey. He assured participants that QCI would support and collaborate with the state to amplify its unique identity through quality-driven initiatives.

The inaugural session of Gunvatta Sankalp Nagaland featured prominent figures, including Shri Temjen Imna Along, Dr. J.
