Government Launches Training for Civil Servants

The Department of Pension & Pensionersโ Welfare (DoPPW) has initiated a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the skills and dedication of its employees. Launched under the โRashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program,โ this initiative seeks to empower civil servants at all levels, from Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) to Joint Secretaries. The program emphasizes the importance of good governance and effective public service delivery.
Empowering Civil Servants for Effective Governance
The training program was inaugurated by Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary of the DoPPW, who participated alongside Shri Dhrubajyoti Sengupta, Joint Secretary of Pension. During the launch, Shri Srinivas highlighted the significance of the program in transforming civil servants into dedicated nation builders. He outlined a three-step transformation process: evolving from Karamchari (employee) to Karmayogi (dedicated worker), shifting from rule-based to role-based functions, and fostering organizational transformation. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader goal of enhancing the capabilities of civil servants to ensure effective governance.
Structured Learning Modules for Comprehensive Development
The training consists of four interconnected modules designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the โKarmayogi Mission.โ These modules focus on instilling the qualities of a Rashtriya Karmayogi, motivating participants to embrace this identity, and teaching them how to create impactful Karmayogi moments. The program also emphasizes the role of these dedicated workers in nation-building, ensuring that employees are well-equipped to serve the public effectively.
Engaging Sessions and Real-World Applications
Participants actively engaged in the sessions, which highlighted their roles and the importance of the DoPPW in national development. The program included discussions on the department’s vision and mission, as well as insights from the successful Nationwide DLC Campaign 3.0. Key topics included pension policy formulation, grievance redressal for pensioners, and strategies to reduce pension-related litigation. These discussions helped participants connect the training content with their responsibilities, reinforcing the practical application of their learning.
Inspiring Commitment to Citizen-Centric Service
The training program not only equipped participants with essential skills but also inspired them to adopt a citizen-first approach in their work. By fostering a sense of commitment to public service, the initiative aims to cultivate a workforce dedicated to enhancing the lives of pensioners and contributing positively to society. This program marks a significant step towards building a more responsive and effective civil service in India.
