Government Launches E-Tender for Prime Land Auction in New Delhi

The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC), under the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, has announced the e-tender and subsequent e-auction for a valuable freehold land parcel owned by HIL (India) Limited. This auction, taking place in the Najafgarh Industrial Area of New Delhi, marks the third public e-auction initiative by NLMC in a swift two-month period, reflecting a robust push towards government land monetization efforts.

The land spans approximately 5.119 acres, equivalent to about 20,722.93 square metres. Bidders are invited to compete in a transparent electronic bidding process, aimed at securing this prime property strategically located along Rohtak Road and Shivaji Marg in New Delhi.

A Competitive Bidding Process

This property will be sold outright through an e-tender followed by an e-auction, encouraging interested bidders to engage in a structured and fair process. The reserve price is set at ₹829.69 crore, with bid increments starting from ₹1 crore per acre. To participate, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹16.60 crore.

Key Dates and Procedures

The entire monetization process is organized into two stages. Participants are required to complete their registration, submit technical bids, and pay the EMD by November 19, 2026, at 14:00 hours. The opening of technical bids will occur the following day, November 20, 2026, at 16:00 hours. A mock auction is scheduled for November 23, 2026, with the definitive auction date to be unveiled post the bid evaluations.

To aid potential bidders, a pre-bid meeting will be hosted on November 3, 2026, at 16:00 hours in Room No. 309, Block-14 of the Public Enterprise Bhawan, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The sale will occur on an “as is where is” and “no recourse/no complaint” basis, as outlined in the auction notification.
