The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released a consultation paper on ‘Review of Regulatory Framework for Broadcasting and Cable Services’ on 8th August 2023. The final date for receiving stakeholder comments on the issues raised in the consultation document was initially set at 05th September 2023 and counter comments as 19th September 2023.
However, due to requests received from interested parties for an extension of the deadline for submitting comments, the deadline for receiving written comments and countercomments has been extended until 19th September 2023 and 3rd October 2023, respectively.
Taking into account the requests received from stakeholders for extension of the deadline for submitting comments on the aforementioned consultation document to enable submission of a comprehensive response to TRAI, it has been decided to further extend the last date for submitting comments and counter – comments up to 3rd October 2023 and 17th October 2023, respectively. No request for a further extension of the deadlines for submitting comments/countercomments will be taken into consideration.
