Exciting New Additions to PlayStation Plus in February

Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of games for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog this February. The announcement came during the recent State of Play broadcast, where the company highlighted several new titles that will be available to subscribers. Leading the charge is “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” a highly anticipated action-adventure game that continues the story of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis. Alongside this blockbuster title, several other games will join the catalog, providing a diverse gaming experience for players.
Major Titles Joining the PS Plus Game Catalog
“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” is the standout title for February. This game is a direct sequel to 2018’s “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.” Players will once again step into the shoes of Cal Kestis, who is now a more seasoned Jedi. Set five years after the events of the first game, Cal is on the run from the Empire. He must navigate new challenges and uncover a mysterious planet with the help of both new and familiar allies. The game promises to deliver intense melee combat and exploration, inspired by the Soulslike and Metroidvania genres. It will be available on both PS4 and PS5 starting February 18.
In addition to “Jedi Survivor,” the Game Catalog will also feature “TopSpin 2K25.” This tennis simulation game is a reboot of the beloved Top Spin franchise. Released last year, it includes modern tennis stars like Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu, as well as legendary players such as Roger Federer and Serena Williams. Players can enjoy a realistic tennis experience on both PS4 and PS5. Another notable addition is “Lost Records: Bloom & Rage โ Tape 1,” a narrative adventure game set in the 1990s. Developed by Don’t Nod, the game follows four high-school friends who reunite after 27 years to uncover long-buried secrets. This title will also be available on PS5.
Classic Titles for PS Plus Members
In addition to the new games, Sony is also expanding its Classics Catalog for PS Plus Deluxe and Premium members. On February 18, two classic titles will be added: “Patapon 3” and “Dropship: United Peace Force.” Both games will be available on PS4 and PS5, allowing players to relive some nostalgic gaming moments. “Patapon 3” is a rhythm-based action game that combines strategy and music, while “Dropship: United Peace Force” offers a unique tactical experience. These classic titles will provide a refreshing contrast to the modern games being introduced this month.
The Classics Catalog continues to be a valuable resource for gamers who appreciate the history of PlayStation. By adding these classic games, Sony ensures that both new and veteran players can enjoy a wide range of gaming experiences. The inclusion of these titles reflects Sony’s commitment to preserving gaming history while also catering to the diverse tastes of its audience.
Upcoming Indie Titles on the Horizon
Looking ahead, Sony has also teased two indie titles that will join the Game Catalog in the coming months. “Blue Prince” is set to launch day one into the Game Catalog this Spring, while “Abiotic Factor” will make its debut in the Summer. These indie games promise to bring fresh and innovative gameplay experiences to PS Plus members.
The addition of indie titles is a significant move for Sony, as it highlights the growing importance of independent developers in the gaming industry. These games often offer unique storytelling and gameplay mechanics that differ from mainstream titles. By incorporating indie games into the PS Plus lineup, Sony is not only supporting smaller developers but also enriching the gaming experience for its subscribers.
