Embassy REIT Completes ₹530 Crore Sale of Assets in Bengaluru

Embassy Office Parks REIT, recognized as India’s first listed Real Estate Investment Trust and the largest office REIT in Asia, has announced the successful divestment of two strata-owned blocks at Embassy Manyata Business Park in Bengaluru. This transaction marks a significant milestone, with a total value of ₹530 crore directed to EAAA Alternatives’ Rental Yield Plus fund.

Strategic Move to Enhance Portfolio

Amit Shetty, the CEO of Embassy REIT, expressed satisfaction with the completion of this deal, which he believes will bring long-term benefits to its stakeholders. “This divestment fits perfectly within our capital recycling strategy. It improves our portfolio efficiency and offers us increased flexibility to reinvest in emerging opportunities,” he stated. This transaction not only underscores Embassy REIT’s strategic vision but also enhances its operational agility.

Investment in Key Markets

Gautam Hora, Managing Director of the Rental Yield Plus Fund, emphasized the significance of this acquisition in bolstering their presence in one of India’s most resilient markets. “This move not only strengthens our ownership at Greenheart Tech Park—covering approximately 1.5 million square feet within Embassy Manyata—but also enables us to adopt a more integrated management approach. It opens doors for effective execution of our value-enhancement strategies, benefiting both our tenants and investors,” he remarked.
