DST carried out Special Campaign 2.0 from November, 2022 to August, 2023 for disposal of pending matters & promoting Swachhata
Drawing inspiration from the Prime Minister’s vision to institutionalize Swachhata and minimize dependence on the government, DST actively participated in the national cleanliness drive, Swachhata campaign under Special Campaign 2.0 from 2 October to 31 October 2022.
Efforts under Special Campaign 2.0 continued in the post-campaign period from November 2022 to August 2023. During this period, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), together with its subordinate/field offices and autonomous bodies, continued his efforts for Swachhata campaign and timely resolution of various pending issues.
The highlights of the achievements of the Department and its organizations during the period December 2022 – August 2023 are disposal of 2,867 public complaints, liberation of 69,656 square feet of space, gain of Rs. 1,16,94,80 in revenues (through scrap disposal), eradication of 88,187 practices, implementation of 359 cleaning campaigns.
The Department of Science and Technology is committed to consolidating the objectives and results of previous campaigns and achieving the key objectives of Special Campaign 3.0.
