In a vibrant lead-up to the 76th Republic Day celebrations, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, hosted a special gathering in New Delhi. The event brought together 200 MY Bharat youth volunteers, their families, and 160 distinguished sportspersons. This gathering recognized the significant contributions of these individuals to nation-building and excellence in sports. The atmosphere was filled with pride and inspiration as attendees celebrated their achievements and discussed the future of India.
The Role of Youth in Nation Building
During his address, Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping the future of India. He urged the young attendees to adopt the guiding principle of โNation Firstโ in all their endeavors. This principle encourages individuals to prioritize the welfare of the nation above personal interests. Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the importance of duty, or โkartavya,โ in fostering a sense of responsibility among citizens. He believes that a collective commitment to these ideals will pave the way for a Viksit Bharat, or developed India.
The Union Minister also reaffirmed the Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal, which outlines the shared responsibilities of every citizen in achieving the nationโs developmental goals. By instilling a sense of duty and purpose in the youth, Dr. Mandaviya aims to inspire a new generation of leaders who will contribute positively to society. The event served as a reminder that the youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but also the change-makers of today.
Celebrating Sporting Excellence
The event featured inspiring speeches from five celebrated sportspersons: Thulsimathi Murugesan, Harvinder Singh, Konganapalli Narayanan, Vantika Agrawal, and Ashok Kumar. Each athlete shared their remarkable journeys, highlighting the challenges they faced and the triumphs they achieved. Their stories resonated with the audience, serving as a source of motivation for the youth present.
These sportspersons expressed gratitude to the Government of India for its unwavering support in helping them reach unprecedented heights in their respective fields. Their achievements not only bring glory to the nation but also inspire young athletes to pursue their dreams. The event underscored the importance of sports in fostering a spirit of unity and excellence among the youth, reinforcing the idea that sports can play a vital role in nation-building.
MY Bharat Volunteers: Champions of Change
The MY Bharat youth volunteers, along with their families, shared their experiences of participating in transformative initiatives launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Selected through impactful campaigns like Swachhata Hi Seva and Ye Diwali MY Bharat Wali, these volunteers have made significant contributions to social development. They spoke passionately about the opportunities provided through the MY Bharat platform, which empowers youth to engage in community service and development projects.
In a touching moment, the youth volunteers presented Dr. Mandaviya with a handmade painting as a token of gratitude. This gesture symbolized their appreciation for the support and recognition they received from the government. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt thanks from both the sportspersons and youth volunteers, who expressed their gratitude for being part of this historic celebration. The event highlighted the Ministryโs commitment to empowering youth and athletes while fostering a culture of excellence and nation-building.
The gathering not only celebrated the achievements of individuals but also reinforced the idea that collective efforts can lead to significant change. As India moves forward, the contributions of its youth and sportspersons will play a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future for the nation.
