Kapoor stated, “Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time; the entire story of Brahmastra.” He emphasized that while specific details are still under wraps, the project is progressing positively. “It is definitely happening. We haven’t really announced much of it, but we will have interesting announcements coming regarding Brahmastra 2,” he added, igniting excitement among fans eager for the next installment of the Astraverse.
The first film, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, debuted in September 2022 and featured a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. The film introduced audiences to a fantastical universe inspired by Indian mythology, laying the groundwork for a trilogy.
Timeline Linked to War 2’s Release
Ranbir Kapoor also discussed the timeline for Brahmastra 2, noting that its development is closely tied to Ayan Mukerji’s current project, War 2. Mukerji is directing the sequel to the 2019 action blockbuster, which stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani, as part of Yash Raj Films’ expanding spy universe. “As you guys know, he is currently working on War 2. Once the film releases, he is going to start the pre-production of Brahmastra 2,” Kapoor explained, providing clarity on the project’s timeline.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Busy Schedule Ahead
As fans await further developments on Brahmastra 2, Ranbir Kapoor remains one of Bollywood’s most sought-after actors. In addition to the Astraverse sequel, he is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, Love & War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, which is slated for release in March 2026.
