Scene 1: Hope in Court, Tears in Jail
Rishi stands up in court and asks the judge to check the CCTV video. The lawyer quickly speaks, saying they can’t trust the video unless the police first confirm it’s real. The judge nods and says they still don’t know if Lakshmi did anything wrong. She tells the police to check the CCTV carefully. But until they finish, Lakshmi must stay in jail. Lakshmi and Rishi quietly look at each other sadly. Shalu gently tells Lakshmi not to worry. But Lakshmi feels hurt remembering Rishi’s words. Soon, Lakshmi goes back to her cell and cries. She worries about Paro and misses her children terribly. She asks the inspector if she can see Paro and Rohan now, but he firmly says no. Lakshmi begs, but he refuses and says they must wait until tomorrow. Even though Lakshmi argues, the inspector finally says sorry, but he can’t help.
Scene 2: Love Breaks Through Bars
Back home, Malishka happily celebrates the news, but her mother, Kiran, warns her to pretend she’s sad. Meanwhile, at the police station, Rano and Shalu come to meet Lakshmi. The inspector is still angry because Lakshmi argued with him earlier. He rudely tells Rano and Shalu they can’t meet Lakshmi. He thinks Lakshmi is guilty and fears she’ll try to escape. Shalu bravely refuses to leave and pushes a constable, daring the inspector to arrest her. The inspector quickly sends her to the cell. Inside, Shalu hugs Lakshmi tight. Lakshmi asks why Shalu got herself in trouble. Shalu smiles and says she purposely did it just to be with Lakshmi. A constable nearby confirms Shalu really acted this way just to see her sister, making Lakshmi feel deeply touched.
Lakshmi softly asks Shalu how she ended up in the CCTV footage. Shalu insists Lakshmi tell her what’s going on, but Lakshmi won’t mention Paro. Shalu senses Lakshmi’s pain about Rishi and gently urges her to speak. Lakshmi simply asks Shalu to hug her tight and not ask more questions. Rano appears and lovingly blesses the sisters. She tells them she talked to the lawyer, and they’ll arrange bail soon. Rano kindly asks Shalu to look after Lakshmi until she returns home. Shalu thanks her warmly. Rano gently apologizes to Lakshmi for getting angry before and promises to support her, reminding both sisters to care for each other always.
