Karishma Gets Upset Over a Waiter’s Mistake
The episode starts with a bit of a mishap. A waiter bumps into someone, and juice goes flying! He quickly apologizes to the guests, but Karishma isn’t having it. She scolds the poor waiter and tells him to leave. Ayush steps in and tries to calm Karishma down, also telling the waiter to go. He then asks Karishma why she’s making such a big deal out of a small accident and suggests she let it go. Anushka arrives and tells Karishma that she feels Ayush has changed a lot since Lakshmi came into their lives. She can’t remember Ayush ever talking back to Karishma before, but now it seems to happen all the time. Anushka also mentions that Rishi seems to be spending a lot of time with Lakshmi, which she finds a bit odd.
Lakshmi Leads the Aarti
Meanwhile, the pandit (priest) asks everyone to participate in the aarti (a Hindu ritual). Harleen asks Lakshmi to lead the aarti, and she agrees. In a different scene, the boss of a diamond smuggling operation instructs his henchman to hand over one of their smugglers to the police. The smuggler protests, claiming he has the real diamonds. The boss demands to know where they are.
Back at the Oberoi mansion, Lakshmi leads the aarti, joined by Rishi, Parvati, and Rohan. The diamond smuggler and David sneak into the mansion, disguised as guests. The rest of the Oberoi family also participate in the aarti. Later, the kids ask Lakshmi and Rishi when the Pooja (prayer ceremony) will start again. Lakshmi checks with the Pandit and tells the kids it will be in the evening. They’re happy with that.
Suspicion Arises Around Balwinder
Balwinder is seen watching Lakshmi closely. Lakshmi serves prasad (blessed food) to everyone. Anushka notices Balwinder staring at Lakshmi. Kiran walks up to Anushka and asks what she’s looking at. Kiran comments that everyone seems distracted in the house lately, which isn’t a good sign.
Shalu and Rano arrive at the Oberoi mansion with sweets. Ayush offers to help Shalu, but Rano asks him to help her instead. Ayush agrees. Shalu hands the sweet boxes to David and asks him to hold them for a moment. David obliges. Shalu says a quick prayer. Ayush asks David and the diamond smuggler if they are guests of someone in the house. David says yes and makes a casual remark. After her prayer, Shalu heads to the kitchen with Ayush.
