Ayodhya Parv Kicks Off with Cultural Splendor

The much-anticipated three-day cultural festival, ‘Ayodhya Parv,’ has officially begun at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA). The event was inaugurated with the unveiling of three significant exhibitions, showcasing the artistic legacy of Lord Ram and the spiritual essence of Ayodhya. Dignitaries, including spiritual leaders and government officials, gathered to celebrate the rich cultural heritage that the festival aims to highlight.

Grand Inauguration Ceremony

The inauguration of ‘Ayodhya Parv’ was marked by the presence of esteemed figures such as Mahant Pujya Kamal Nayan Das Ji Maharaj and Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir. They were joined by other notable guests, including Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, President of IGNCA, and artist Shri Vasudev Kamath, who played a pivotal role in the exhibitions. The exhibitions featured Kamath’s paintings inspired by ‘Maryada Purushottam’ (Lord Ram), Pahari miniature paintings based on the ‘Valmiki Ramayana,’ and a thematic display titled ‘Badi Hai Ayodhya,’ which illustrates the pilgrimage landscape of Chaurasi Kos Ayodhya.

During the inauguration, each dignitary reflected on the spiritual significance of Lord Ram and the cultural importance of Ayodhya. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, also attended the event, expressing his congratulations to the organizers and emphasizing the enduring impact of Lord Ram’s character on Indian culture. He noted that the reinstallation of the Ram Mandir symbolizes a new dawn for India’s cultural identity.

The festival commenced with a captivating performance by Rajkumar Jha and his ensemble, followed by devotional songs that resonated deeply with the audience. Shri Manoj Sinha highlighted the importance of the newly reconstructed Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, viewing its inauguration as a significant bridge connecting India’s past with its present. He described Ayodhya as a spiritual beacon, embodying the values of development, justice, and good governance, as represented by Lord Ram.
