Audio-Technica has launched a limited edition of its ATH-CKS50TW2 TWS earphones, inspired by iconic Star Wars characters. This new collection, revealed ahead of the Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan, features four unique colorways and themed inscriptions. While maintaining the same impressive features as the standard model, these earphones promise a battery life of up to 25 hours and support Qi wireless charging.

The Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW2 Star Wars limited edition is priced at $179, slightly above the regular version’s price of $149. Pre-orders will commence on April 21 through the Audio-Technica website, with the official launch set for May 4, celebrated by fans as Star Wars Day. This release aligns perfectly with the upcoming Star Wars Celebration convention, scheduled from April 18 to April 20 in Japan.
Character-Inspired Variants of the Earphones
This limited edition features designs inspired by four beloved Star Wars characters: the Mandalorian, Grogu, Darth Vader, and R2-D2. The Mandalorian variant showcases a metallic silver and grey finish, adorned with the phrases “Bounty Hunter” and “Mandalorian,” while the case bears the inscription “This is the Way.”
The Darth Vader edition includes the phrase “The power of the Dark side” on the earbuds, with the case cover stating “It is your destiny,” a nod to a memorable line from the franchise. R2-D2’s variant is presented in a bright white and blue color scheme, featuring “R2-D2” and “Astromech Droid” inscriptions, while the case reads, “The droid you’re looking for.” Lastly, the Grogu edition is styled in a smoke green shade, with the case stating, “Wherever I go, he goes,” and the earbuds featuring “The Child” and “Little Bounty.”
The packaging for these limited edition earphones showcases images of the respective characters and includes character-specific sound effects for alerts and actions. For instance, the Darth Vader edition features a Lightsaber sound and the character’s iconic breathing, while the Mandalorian edition includes sounds of a sniper rifle and jet pack. R2-D2’s variant emits the character’s signature beeps and whistles, and the Grogu edition provides sounds of laughter and pram movements.
