Assam D.El.Ed. 2026 Admission Notification Released – Apply by June 10
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has opened online applications for admission into the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course. The application window closes on June 10, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to this teacher education program must submit their applications before the deadline.
The D.El.Ed. course will run for the academic session 2026-2028. It will be offered across NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes in Assam. These institutes include DIETs, CTEs, Normal Schools, BITEs, BTCs, and private TEIs operating within the state.
Selection Process for Assam D.El.Ed. 2026
Admission will be based entirely on performance in the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2026. The written exam is scheduled for July 12, 2026. This test carries 100 marks and consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
After the exam, district-wise merit lists will be prepared. These lists will rank candidates based on their PET scores. Selection of candidates will follow this merit-based ranking system.

Eligibility Requirements and Documents
All candidates applying for the Assam D.El.Ed. 2026 admission must meet specific eligibility criteria. They must have passed their Higher Secondary (HS) examination, commonly known as 10+2. The pass certificate and mark sheet from HS are mandatory documents.

On the home page, applicants need to scroll down to find the Important Web-Links section. They should click on the ‘Online Application Form’ link and select ‘New Registration’ to create a new account.
After registration, candidates log in using their credentials. They then fill in all personal and educational details as required. The form will prompt them to upload necessary documents as outlined in the notification.
Once all information is entered and documents are uploaded, candidates must pay the application fee. After payment, they submit the form and should print a copy for their records. This printout serves as proof of application submission.

Candidates appearing in the Pre-Entry Test on July 12, 2026 can download their admit cards from https://scertpet.co.in. The download facility becomes available from July 5, 2026.
To access the admit card, candidates must enter their login credentials. These include their Application Number and Date of Birth. The hall ticket contains essential exam details and must be carried to the examination center.
