Apple Vision Pro to Get Apple Intelligence Support, Spatial

Apple has announced exciting new features for its Vision Pro mixed reality headset, set to launch in April. The upcoming update, visionOS 2.4, will introduce a suite of Apple Intelligence features, enhancing the user experience significantly. Alongside these features, Apple will also unveil a new Spatial Gallery app and an iPhone app for managing downloads on the headset. Additionally, a Guest User mode will allow multiple users to share the device easily.

Apple Vision Pro to Get Apple Intelligence Features With visionOS 2.4 Update

The Apple Vision Pro will soon support a range of Apple Intelligence features with the release of visionOS 2.4 in April. This update will include innovative tools designed to improve productivity and creativity. Among the standout features are Writing Tools, which integrate ChatGPT for enhanced writing assistance. Users will also have access to Image Playground, a dedicated app for the Vision Pro that allows for interactive image manipulation. Another exciting addition is Genmoji, which will enable users to create personalized emojis.

Initially, these features will be available only to users who have set their device language to English (US). However, Apple plans to expand availability to other regions in the future. The update will also enhance the Photos app, allowing users to create Memory Movies and utilize natural language search queries. This means users can search for photos using everyday language, making it easier to find specific memories. Furthermore, features like Smart Reply in Mail and Messages will streamline communication. Other enhancements include Image Wand in Notes, Priority Messages in Mail and Notification Centre, and Mail Summaries. These updates promise to make the Apple Vision Pro a more powerful tool for both work and leisure.

Guest User Mode for Apple Vision Pro

One of the most anticipated features of the upcoming update is the Guest User mode. This functionality will allow Apple Vision Pro owners to share their device with others without compromising their personal settings. However, it is important to note that this mode is not a full multi-user system. Instead, it allows guest users to save their eye and hand setup for up to 30 days after their session.

Once the visionOS 2.4 update is installed, Apple Vision Pro owners can initiate a Guest User session using their iPhone or iPad. They can select which apps will be accessible to the guest user, ensuring a tailored experience. This feature is particularly useful for families or friends who want to share the device without needing to create separate accounts. By simplifying the sharing process, Apple aims to make the Vision Pro more versatile and user-friendly. This update reflects Apple’s commitment to enhancing user experience while maintaining privacy and personalization.

Apple Vision Pro App Coming to iOS, Vision Pro to Get Spatial Gallery App

In conjunction with the visionOS 2.4 update, Apple will introduce a new app for iOS devices that allows Vision Pro owners to manage their headset remotely. After updating to iOS 18.4, users will be able to download apps and games directly from their iPhones. The app will also provide information about the headset and offer recommendations for new content, including immersive 3D movies.

On the Vision Pro itself, the new Spatial Gallery app will showcase a variety of content designed specifically for the mixed reality experience. Users can explore spatial photos, videos, and panoramas that highlight art, culture, entertainment, lifestyle, nature, sports, and travel. This app aims to take full advantage of the Vision Pro’s advanced display capabilities, providing an engaging and visually stunning experience.

Apple has confirmed that the visionOS 2.4 update will be available in April, with the initial rollout focusing on English-speaking users. However, the company plans to expand the availability of these features to other regions, including Australia, Canada, China, and several European countries. This strategic rollout reflects Apple’s goal of making the Vision Pro a global product, appealing to a diverse audience.
