High Court Orders Vigilance Investigation Into Sports Certificates
The controversy centres on questioned sports certificates, particularly Judo certificates linked to a 2013 Inter-District tournament held in Khammam. Additional claims involve 21 candidates selected from a single mandal, raising questions about the selection process.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the state Vigilance Department to conduct a thorough investigation into the genuineness of the disputed Judo certificates. The Vigilance Department must submit a formal report to the court following this inquiry.
SAAP officials have stated that certificates submitted during the 1:5 verification phase were authenticated directly by recognised state and national sports federations. The department confirmed that strict action will be taken if any certificate is proven fraudulent. However, genuine candidates will not lose their appointments based solely on unverified allegations.
