Business Lessons

The episode begins with Babu Ji advising Anupama that customers take time to come, but once they do, they will continue to increase. Anupama reflects on the first rule of business—patience—which she learned from a successful Gujarati businessman. Anuj smiles, appreciating her wisdom. Sagar chimes in, stating that word-of-mouth is effective publicity, and one customer will bring in more. Indra and Bala reassure Anupama that the business will flourish. Bala mentions that this catering is necessary due to property tax, to which Anupama responds that it’s fine and that Asha Bhavan will prosper. Anuj offers to help Sagar by distributing pamphlets, and Anupama expresses her appreciation, thinking that Anuj is the best. She then wonders why Meenu and Kinjal haven’t arrived yet. Meanwhile, Nandita recalls Dimpy accusing her and prays to Kanha Ji to send her the first customer.

Family Disputes and Accusations

Toshu expresses his disagreement with Vanraj, who he believes is wrong in his assumptions. Pakhi tells Vanraj that Meenu is acting like a perfect niece and Titu like a perfect son-in-law. She reveals that Meenu and Sagar had signed each other, and she knew about it. Vanraj, asserting his role as a father, asks for time to reflect before commenting. Toshu then adds that Meenu and Titu are present for that reason. Pakhi accuses Mummy of trying to take everyone away, and Toshu points out that Mummy set up a stall outside their house to avoid showing their faces in front of anyone. Pakhi tells Mummy that she will sell Bhajiyas daily to show her respect, while Toshu seeks advice from Vanraj on what he should do next.

Struggles at the Stall

Indra observes that nobody has come to the stall yet, even though it’s already afternoon. She worries that the food will go to waste if no one comes. Anupama, however, suggests that they won’t make dinner and will just eat what is there. Anuj, Sagar, and others distribute pamphlets to attract customers. Anuj speaks in English to a lady, informing her about Anupama’s stall, while Sagar notices that Anuj is slowly returning to his old self. Megha, thinking of surprising Aadhya with a poster, catches Anuj’s attention while she is talking to someone. A tiffin arrives, allegedly sent by the Dean of the college, and Anupama finds chocolate inside it.

She plans to give the remaining chocolate to Sagar but struggles to read a chit inside the tiffin due to it being covered in chocolate. Megha, upon leaving, accidentally drops her keychain, and Anuj calls after her to return it. Megha ignores him and leaves, prompting Anuj to follow her. Anupama attempts to clean the chocolate off the chit but still cannot read it. Megha, Dean, and others eventually return home, where Aadhya asks if the Dean was the one who sent the tiffin, to which he responds affirmatively. Megha, feeling emotional, tells Aadhya that she misses her and hugs her, while Aadhya eagerly awaits Anupama.

Aadhya’s Crisis

Anuj, concerned about Megha, asks the people around if they have seen a lady enter the house. A man confirms that she did. Anupama, thinking it was a mistake, places the chit on the stall slab. Megha then forces Aadhya to eat jalebi, despite Aadhya’s protests. Aadhya tells Megha that her Priya might like it, but she doesn’t. She then attempts to leave but stops when Megha asks if she did something wrong. Dean explains that teens sometimes act this way and advises Megha to give Aadhya her freedom. However, Megha’s unstable mind takes a darker turn as she contemplates harming herself and even Aadhya. Anuj is nearby when Aadhya, unable to stay any longer, decides to leave with her trolley. Megha, in a panic, threatens Aadhya, warning her not to leave.

Aadhya halts when Megha threatens to call the police and child welfare, who she claims will search for her and send her back to the US. Aadhya, now fearful, remembers her experiences in the US and hesitates. Megha continues to manipulate Aadhya, convincing her that the outside world is dangerous and that she should stay close to her Mamma. As the doorbell rings, Aadhya enters the room, and Megha opens the door to find Anuj standing there. Anuj hands Megha the keychain she dropped earlier, and Megha thanks him. Anuj informs them about the food being prepared at Anupama’s stall and hands them a pamphlet. Dean acknowledges it, while Anuj notices a drawing made by Aadhya. Dean then shuts the door, leaving Aadhya hoping that Anupama will come to find her.

Wrap-Up: Anupama Written Update 23rd August 2024

Back at the stall, Anupama and her team are worried as no customers have come to eat. Toshu arrives, sarcastically asking for a hamburger, and points out that no customers have shown up, which is why they decided to start. Pakhi asks for a menu, but Anupama refuses to treat them as customers. Toshu and Pakhi continue to mock her for not knowing how to run a business. Anupama, however, counters their taunts by referencing Chanakya’s wisdom, saying that the line of knowledge may not have been on her hand, but a line of happiness was drawn. She accuses Toshu and Pakhi of coming not for food but to taunt her. Despite their threats, Anupama remains unfazed as Anuj hums a song, and she believes that everything will be fine tomorrow.

Precap: In the Anupama written update precap, goons are seen breaking Anupama’s stall and pouring kerosene on it, setting it ablaze. Anupama’s desperate cry of “no” echoes as the flames engulf the stall.
