AI Centres Established in Women’s Colleges

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is taking significant steps to enhance the quality of technical education in India by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its curriculum. As part of this initiative, AICTE has introduced core and elective AI courses across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including those outside of computer science. Training and Certification in AI-Related Job Roles
Under the PMKVY 4.0 Scheme, the MSDE has been actively training candidates in AI-related job roles. As of June 30, 2025, detailed statistics reveal the number of individuals trained and certified in various AI job roles, highlighting the gender-wise distribution of candidates. For instance, the data shows that a significant number of women have been trained as AI Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Architects, and Machine Learning Engineers, among other roles. This emphasis on training and certification is crucial for ensuring that the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven economy.
