The NCS Portal offers a range of employment-related services, including job search and matching, career counseling, vocational guidance, skill development information, and internships. It serves a broad array of stakeholders, including job seekers, employers, employment exchanges, counselors, training providers, educational institutions, and placement organizations.

Job opportunities on the NCS Portal are sourced through various channels, such as direct reporting by employers, job fairs, and API integration with private job portals. The platform features vacancies across multiple industries, including finance and insurance (1.47 million), operations and support (108,000), service activities (75,000), manufacturing (71,000), transport and storage (59,000), IT and communication (58,000), education (43,000), wholesale and retail (25,000), and health (20,000).

The portal primarily caters to candidates with educational backgrounds up to the 12th standard, ITI, and diploma holders, while also offering specialized positions for those with higher education or expert qualifications. This wide range of vacancies underscores the NCS Portal’s dedication to addressing various skill levels and professional expertise.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment is continuously working to upgrade the NCS Portal to NCS 2.0, incorporating advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence to provide enhanced benefits and features for job seekers and employers.
