MOC approves Olympians Elavenil Valarivan and Pravin Jadhav’s proposals for equipment servicing and upgradation

On June 1, the Olympic cell of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYAS) mission approved proposals by Olympic shooter Elavenil Valarivan and archer Pravin Jadhav respectively for equipment maintenance and upgrades.

While Elavenil will travel to the Walther Factory in Germany for his gun maintenance and pellet testing, Pravin will purchase his second set of archery equipment which is now required for international events as there is no time allotted for maintenance in case of equipment failure during the event.

The MOC approved Commonwealth Games Medalist Sreeja Akula’s proposal for financial assistance for participation in the WTT CONTENDER – LAGOS, Nigeria, which takes place later this month.

Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) would finance Sreeja’s air tickets, food, accommodation, local transport, visa costs and insurance costs among other expenses.
