India Launches Call for AI Innovations in Education
The IndiaAI Mission, spearheaded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has initiated a global Call for Use Cases aimed at highlighting the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming education. Delivered in collaboration with the Central Square Foundation and the EkStep Foundation, this casebook seeks to showcase effective AI applications that are enhancing learning outcomes and improving access to quality education in emerging and developing economies.
This exciting compendium is set to be revealed during the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, taking place from February 16 to 20 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The summit will provide a prominent platform for innovators and educators to present their pioneering work to global policymakers and fellow EdTech experts. The initiative encourages submissions from individuals and organizations that have successfully implemented ethical and inclusive AI solutions in education.
Focus Areas for Submissions
Submissions are encouraged in several key areas, including:
- Student Learning: Innovations in early and foundational learning, personalized learning experiences, and AI-enhanced personal tutoring systems.
- Teacher Support: Tools and technologies that assist with lesson planning, classroom delivery, homework management, and teacher professional development.
- Administrative Efficiency: AI-driven assessment tools and technologies that improve education system governance and planning.
- Inclusivity: Solutions specifically designed for neurodiverse learners that utilize assistive technologies.
Selected applicants will have the unique opportunity to author a chapter in the casebook, contributing to the collective knowledge on the real-world impact of AI in education.
