South African players have made notable gains in the Test rankings following their recent series sweep against India. Marco Jansen achieved a career-high fifth position in the Test bowlers list, showcasing his development as a leading bowler. His teammate Simon Harmer also made significant strides, jumping 13 places to 11th after an impressive performance that included 17 wickets in two matches, earning him Player of the Series honors.

In the Test all-rounders rankings, Jansen moved up four positions to secure second place, further emphasizing his versatility and skill.
