Yuvraj immediately became annoyed with her for entering without permission.
“Why did you come in here without knocking first? Don’t you have any manners or respect for privacy?” he scolded her harshly. Mehek tried to remind him of their relationship and her rights as his wife. “I’m your wife, Yuvraj. I should be able to enter your room without feeling like an intruder,” she replied with hurt in her voice. Yuvraj completely dismissed her feelings and changed the subject. “Just tell me what you’ve cooked for lunch today. I’m hungry and don’t want to waste time with this discussion,” he said rudely. Mehek listed the simple meal she had prepared with care.
“I made fresh roti and vegetable curry for you. I tried to make it taste good despite our limited ingredients,” she explained. Yuvraj mocked her cooking abilities without even tasting the food. “I’m sure it’s as terrible as everything else you make. Go and bring it here so I can see how bad it is,” he said dismissively. Mehek went to fetch the food, not knowing that Kavya had been listening to their entire conversation from outside the room. When Mehek returned with the meal, Kavya arrived at the same time with her own agenda. “Yuvraj, I need you to come with me to the jewelry store.
