Google Introduces Friend Contact Feature for Account Recovery
Google has unveiled a suite of new privacy and recovery tools aimed at enhancing user security across its Android products. Spam and Scam Protection in Messages
Google is also enhancing its messaging services with new spam and scam detection capabilities. The company has launched on-device protection for Pixel devices, which helps identify scam and spam messages. This feature is now being integrated into Google Messages for all users. When a user clicks on a suspicious message, the app will issue a warning and prevent access to potentially harmful links. For users who are more technically inclined, Google is introducing a key verifier in Google Messages. This tool helps users confirm the identity of their contacts and ensures that messages remain end-to-end encrypted and private. Users with Android 10 and later can utilize a QR code scanning feature for contact verification, adding an extra layer of security to their communications.
