Mannat’s mind races with possibilities. Right now, Vikrant’s talking to his parents about their engagement. Roni and Gagan like having her around this house. But Neetu? That’s a different story. She doesn’t want Mannat here at all. What if she says no to the engagement? The fear creeps in. Vikrant adores his parents—he wouldn’t dream of going against what they want. Shruthi notices something’s bothering her friend. What’s going on? Mannat spills everything—Vikrant’s having that conversation with his parents right now, and she’s got no idea which way it’ll go. Shruthi tries calming her down. There’s nothing to stress about. Vikrant already mentioned this to her earlier. He’ll make them understand.
Over in another room, Vikrant’s making his case to Neetu. Mannat’s his prayer come true, he tells her. Getting her into his life took so much effort, went through so many struggles. He can’t let her slip away now. His love for her runs deep. Neetu doesn’t hold back—she doesn’t like this girl one bit. Vikrant cuts through that objection before it goes further. He hasn’t asked her opinion yet. The only person he wants in his life is Mannat. He makes a promise to his mother: Mannat will become her daughter too. Eventually, she’ll earn a place in Neetu’s heart.
He keeps pushing. Mannat will be the best daughter-in-law anyone could ask for, he swears. Just give permission for this. He’ll love his mom just as much as he loves Mannat—they’ll share equal space in his heart. Roni adds his voice to persuade her. Finally, Neetu gives in and grants permission. But her thoughts tell a different story. Vikrant sees Mannat as his entire world, but she’s convinced this girl will bring a storm into his life someday.
Jewels, Apologies, and Father’s Love
Later on, Mannat spots Gagan in her room. He’s brought jewelry for her. Then comes the apology—he’s sorry for misunderstanding her earlier, for not trusting her when he should have. He knew Aishwarya’s true nature, yet he still fell into her trap. Mannat stops him right there. He needs to quit apologizing. None of this was his fault. Aishwarya manipulated everyone around here, that’s what happened.
She goes on. He gave her something precious—the experience of what having a father feels like. He treated her like his own daughter from the start. She’s grateful for that. Gagan says these jewels will look perfect on her. His taste is always spot-on, she agrees. Shruthi makes an observation about the moment. A mother’s love is powerful, sure, but sometimes just a few words from a father can completely melt a daughter’s heart. Gagan acknowledges that Anirudh holds all the rights over Mannat. He worked incredibly hard to earn her love.
Here’s some good news, Gagan tells her. Anirudh’s bail procedures are done. He’ll be walking out of that jail cell soon. He can make it to her engagement ceremony. Mannat thanks him for making that happen. Anirudh walks free from jail. The constable comments on his luck—having a daughter like Mannat who did everything possible to get him released. Anirudh says he’s proud of her, but here’s the truth: he doesn’t deserve to be her father. He accumulated wealth over the years, but this case drained everything. Varun stood by him when times got rough, but Anirudh ended up locked up anyway. He couldn’t provide financial help when it mattered. Now he’s got nothing left. (Talk about hitting rock bottom.) Dhairya hands him a ring. Consider it a gift from the police department for punishing an innocent man, he says.
Two Ceremonies and Hidden Agendas
Mallika puts on quite a show, pretending to apologize to Kiran. Then she switches gears and snaps at her angrily. She performs this fake concern routine, pinning all the blame on Aishwarya for everything that went wrong. Kiran isn’t buying any forgiveness. She won’t forgive either of them—because of their actions, she’s forced to see Mannat’s face every single day in this house. The engagement ceremony gets underway. Vikrant can’t take his eyes off Mannat. Roni teases him about his obvious admiration. Dhairya asks the constable to retrieve Anirudh’s ID—he forgot to grab it on the way out. Dhairya says don’t bother the man right now. He’s busy with his daughter’s engagement, let him have this moment.
Neetu goes through the ritual motions without any real enthusiasm. Her heart’s clearly not in this. Mallika’s thoughts run dark during the ceremony. She won’t let Mannat take Vikrant away from her. She was his wife before, and in her mind, she’ll always hold that position.
