Scene 1: Secrets and Accusations: Nutan and Kanka’s Showdown
Kanka stands in front of Nutan, arms crossed. “You’re not really planning to leave,” she sneers. “You just say that to make everyone pity you.” Rani interrupts: “You’re wrong, Kanka. Everyone likes Nutan.” Kanka scoffs. “Like her? She ruined this village!” Nutan steps forward. “I never hurt anyone. You’re the one who brought shame here.” She turns to the villagers. “Kanka trusted a city man who betrayed her. Why did she fall for him if she loved Parashar all along?” Kanka opens her mouth to reply, but Nutan cuts her off. “I did everything for you, Kanka. But you always insult me. One day, you’ll regret this.” Parashar steps in. “Nutan, listen—” She whirls around. “How much can I tolerate?” He tries to calm her: “Don’t let others’ words hurt you.” Nutan snaps, “What right does Kanka have to attack me?” Parashar glares at Kanka. “You forget your place. You take sympathy from everyone but do nothing for them. Leave the village if you won’t change.” Veer adds, “Nutan built this village. You can go wherever you want, Kanka, but Nutan stays.” Rani pleads with Nutan: “Don’t leave.” Nutan shakes her head. “I’m done.”
Scene 2: Apu’s Goodbye: A Family’s Heartbreak
In another part of the village, Lalon sits beside Apu’s bed. Bablu asks, “Who will trouble me if Apu dies?” Jimli rushes in. “How are you feeling?” Apu smiles weakly. “I’m going to die.” Jimli protests, but Apu insists, “I want to stay with everyone.” Lalon stops Kajol from forcing Apu to rest. “Let her be,” he murmurs. Apu suddenly sings a soft song. The room falls silent as tears stream down everyone’s faces. The next morning, Aniruddh asks Anjana, “How’s Apu today?” Anjana sighs. “She won’t open her eyes.” Kajol shakes her head. “We can’t do anything now.” Anuradha announces, “I’m going to the temple.” Anjana joins her. Meanwhile, Abhijeet and Ambika receive calls from relatives. Media outlets demand interviews about Ishani. Adrika sighs, “Everyone’s asking about her.” Aarav enters. “What happened to Ishani?” Ambika snaps, “Focus on your studies!” She pushes him out. Abhijeet groans, “How do I face the office?” Ambika yells, “You gave Ishani too much freedom!” Aniruddh arrives with Moon. “Apu wanted to see you,” he explains. Moon leans down. “I’m here.” Apu’s eyes flutter open. “You talk sweetly,” she whispers. “Where’s Jhanak?” Bablu mumbles, “She’s not here.” Lalon offers food, but Apu says, “I’m sleepy. Call Jhanak.” Aniruddh hesitates. “Jhanak lives in another world now. She won’t come.” Apu frowns. “You never understood her.”
Scene 3: The Village Chooses Nutan: Kanka’s Last Stand
Back at the village square, Parashar confronts Kanka again. “If you insult Nutan again, we’re done with you,” he warns. Nutan adds, “I see hatred in your eyes. Don’t pretend otherwise.” Kanka storms off without a word. Lalon returns home to find Moon still sitting beside Apu. “She’s sleeping,” he whispers. Suddenly, Nutan appears, clutching her stomach. She doubles over, then straightens. “I’m pregnant,” she announces. Kanka overhears and smirks. “Nutan’s lying again!” Parashar gasps. “Should I call Aniruddh?” Nutan shakes her head. “I’ll raise this baby alone.”
