Welcome to Jhanak Written Update 1st May 2025. In this written update, we follow the ongoing story of our favourite characters as they face new challenges, share emotional moments, and continue their journey. In Today’s Episode, Parashar shocks villagers by claiming Nutan’s baby as his own, sparking conflict with Bua and Kanka. Nutan resents his decisions, clashing over their future. Meanwhile, Apu’s family learns of her terminal illness, and Aniruddh vows to fund her treatment in Mumbai….. Scene 1: The Shocking Truth Exposed
The episode opens with Parashar standing tall in front of a crowd of villagers. His voice cuts through the air: “I am the father of Nutan’s baby, and my child will grow up here!” The words send ripples of shock through the group. A villager pipes up, “If Nutan is your wife, we can’t punish her!” The Sarpanch nods, accepting the claim. But not everyone is pleased. Bua steps forward, arms crossed. “I won’t accept Nutan or her baby,” she snaps. Parashar remains calm. “I’ve arranged a new house. We’ll live there,” he declares. Kanka, clearly annoyed, mocks him. “You expect us to believe this?” Parashar glares. “You have no right to question me,” he barks. The Sarpanch backs him up, ordering Kanka to leave.
Once the crowd thins, Nutan confronts Parashar. “Why did you do this?” she demands. Parashar sighs. “I had no choice. I never said you were my wife.” Nutan fires back, “Your words made me look like your wife!” Parashar insists, “I did it for the baby. Not for you.” His gang cheers, urging him to throw a party. Parashar agrees but adds, “First, we celebrate the baby.” He invites everyone to his house that evening. Before leaving, he hands the baby to Kanka. “The child needs Maasi’s love too,” he says. Kanka storms off, muttering under her breath.
Scene 2: A Family on the Edge
Cut to Apu’s home. Jimli clings to her, whispering, “We can’t live without you.” Apu’s voice is steady but soft. “I know you care. That’s why I avoid going to Anjana’s house.” She pauses. “Don’t cry if I die in the hospital.” Her words freeze the room. Kajol chokes up. “If you die, I’ll leave and never come back!” Apu shakes her head. “I don’t want to die, but my parents… they’ll suffer.” She surprises everyone by asking for food. Anjana jumps up. “I’ll cook,” she says, disappearing into the kitchen. Lalon, Kajol, and Jimli gather around Apu in a tight hug.
Later, Lalon visits the Bose house, his face tense. Anjana notices. “Why do you look so worried?” Aniruddh joins, asking about medical reports. Lalon’s voice cracks. “Apu doesn’t have many days left.” Gasps fill the room. Aniruddh grabs his arm. “What happened?” Lalon apologizes, tears spilling over. “She has cancer. Tell me how to save her!” Aniruddh straightens up. “Stop crying. Think clearly. I’ll take her to Mumbai for treatment.” Lalon nods. “I’ll earn money for her.” Aniruddh interrupts, “No. I’ll pay. I’m her brother. She’ll be fine.”
Scene 3: Clashing Wills
Back in the village, Parashar enters his new house. “I came to apologize,” he tells Nutan. She shrugs. “It doesn’t matter if you do or not.” He shifts uncomfortably. “Any problem with the party tonight?” Nutan challenges him. “Does my opinion even matter to you?” She compares him to “goons,” and Parashar’s temper flares. “Don’t make me angry,” he warns. Nutan stands her ground. “I’m not afraid of anyone.” She brings up the baby. “How could you give the child to Kanka?” Parashar argues, “We need her support to stay safe here.” Nutan insists they shouldn’t argue alone in the room. “I’ll start working tomorrow,” she says. Parashar pushes, “Talk to villagers. Make friends.” Nutan scoffs. “The baby won’t stay here forever.” Parashar’s voice softens. “I know. I don’t have rights over you or the baby. I helped because it was the right thing to do.” Nutan frowns. “Why keep saying that?” Parashar snaps, “Because you insulted me by calling me a goon!”
The conversation turns to dinner. Nutan says, “I’ll eat tomorrow.” Parashar insists she must eat well. “Villagers will say I’m neglecting my wife if you don’t.” Nutan fires back, “Maybe they’ll say you should live with me here.” Parashar’s tone sharpens. “I have self-respect. Don’t disrespect me again. You don’t want to see my bad side.”
Scene 4: Hope and Desperation
Cut to Lalon’s house, where Apu’s parents arrive with Aniruddh. Anjana throws her arms around Apu. “Don’t cry,” Apu murmurs. “I’m alive now.” Anjana sobs, “What sin did I commit?” Kajol pleads, “Don’t cry in front of her.” Lalon paces. “If anything happens to her, I’ll trust nothing ever again. Why is God doing this?” Aniruddh grips his shoulder. “Stop being emotional. We’ll fix this.” A knock interrupts them. Kanka arrives with the baby, handing it to Nutan. She turns to Parashar. “What did you see in her?” Parashar avoids the question. “I’ll tell you later. Arrange dinner tonight.” Kanka scoffs. “Am I crazy?” Parashar smirks. “Guess I’ll starve.” Nutan adds, “I don’t eat dinner.” Parashar teases Kanka. “I know you’re soft inside.” After a pause, she grumbles, “Fine. I’ll bring food.” Parashar checks his watch. “I have a meeting. Take care of Nutan,” he orders Kanka before leaving. Nutan stares at the door, whispering to herself. “Why is my path always so hard?”
