NEW DELHI: Apple is making significant strides in India, not only through its flagship iPhone sales but also via a booming app ecosystem. In 2024, the tech giant is projected to generate approximately ₹45,000 crore ($5.3 billion) from developer billings and app sales in the country. This surge has contributed to Apple’s overall business engagement in India, which is expected to reach nearly ₹2.3 lakh crore ($27 billion) this year, encompassing iPhone sales, exports, and app store transactions.

The financial success of Apple’s app ecosystem in India has been remarkable. According to sources, the company is set to achieve around ₹45,000 crore in sales from its app store in 2024.
