5.8% of Electors Yet to Complete the Form; 8 Days Remaining
As of June 24, 2025, a significant milestone has been reached in the electoral process, with a total of 789,69,844 electors registered. The enumeration process has seen a commendable response, with 89.7% of the Enumeration Forms submitted. However, challenges remain, including a notable number of electors who could not be located at their registered addresses. The Election Commission is actively working to address these issues ahead of the draft Electoral Roll publication scheduled for August 1, 2025.
Electoral Statistics Overview
The latest data reveals that out of the total electors, 7,08,18,162 Enumeration Forms have been received, reflecting a participation rate of 89.7%. Additionally, 6,70,59,222 of these forms have been digitized, accounting for 84.9% of the total. Despite the high submission rate, there are still 35,69,435 electors who could not be found at their registered addresses, representing 4.5% of the total. Furthermore, the data indicates that 12,55,620 electors are likely deceased, while 17,37,336 are presumed to have permanently shifted their residence. There are also 5,76,479 electors identified as being enrolled at multiple locations.
Efforts to Verify Elector Information
To ensure the accuracy of the electoral roll, the Election Commission is taking proactive measures to verify the status of electors who have not been located after three visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs). Information regarding potentially deceased electors, those who have moved permanently, and individuals registered at multiple addresses is being shared with District Presidents of political parties and approximately 1.5 lakh Booth Level Agents. This initiative aims to confirm the status of these electors before the deadline of July 25, 2025.
Special Camps and Online Accessibility
In an effort to facilitate the enumeration process, special camps are being organized across all 5,683 wards of the 261 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Bihar. These camps will provide assistance to citizens in completing their Enumeration Forms. Additionally, individuals who have temporarily migrated outside Bihar can also participate in the enumeration process. They can fill out the forms online using the ECINet App or the official website, https://voters.eci.gov.in. This online option allows them to download pre-filled forms and submit them directly to BLOs, either personally or through family members via messaging platforms.
Future Steps and Importance of Participation
The Election Commission emphasizes the importance of participation in the electoral process. With the deadline for submitting Enumeration Forms approaching, it encourages all eligible voters to ensure their registration is complete. The ability to check the status of their Enumeration Forms through the ECINet App or the official website provides transparency and accessibility for voters. As the publication date for the draft Electoral Roll nears, the Commission is committed to ensuring that the electoral process is fair, accurate, and inclusive for all citizens.
