Madiha Kamel (3 August 1948 โ 13 January 1997) was an Egyptian actress.
Life and Career
Madiha Kamel was born on 3 August 1948 in Alexandria. In 1963, as a teenager, her family moved to Cairo. Accompanied by her mother, she presented herself to a modeling contest. She was selected and did some fashion shows for fashion designers. Her acting skills allowed her to excel in a wide range of roles, from dramatic to comedic, earning her a reputation as a versatile and accomplished actress.
Kamel appeared in numerous Egyptian films and television shows throughout her career, becoming a beloved figure in the entertainment industry. Her compelling portrayals and ability to connect with audiences contributed to her popularity and success. In 1993, in the middle of shooting the filmย Bawwรขbat Iblรฎsย (The Gates of Satan), she was diagnosed with breast cancer.ย Treated but not completely cured, she gave up her career. In 1996, she was hospitalized again for months. She died at home at the beginning of 1997.
