Birth Anniversary

27 October in Indian history is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the following personalities:

Jatindranath Das (27 October 1904 – 13 September 1929), the famous revolutionaries of India, died in prison for the country’s independence. Abandoned and attained martyrdom. He is also known as ‘Jatin Das’, while his fellow companions used to affectionately call him ‘Jatin Da’. Jatindranath Das was the assistant of Subhash Chandra Bose in the ‘Congress Seva Dal’. After meeting Bhagat Singh, he had come to Agra to make bombs. The bombs that were thrown by Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt in the Central Assembly were made by him. The revolutionaries started a fast from July 13, 1929, due to the lack of treatment of the revolutionaries in the jail as Raj prisoners. Jatindranath also participated in it. He died in jail on the 63rd day of his fast. Kocheril Raman Narayanan (27 October 1920 – 9 November 2005), is known as the tenth elected President of the Republic of India. He was the first Dalit President and the first Malayali person to get the highest office in the country. He was victorious in the presidential election held on July 14, 1997. Mr. K. R. Narayanan got 95 percent of the total votes. The counting of votes was completed on July 17, 1997. Former Election Commissioner of India Shri T. N. Seshan was his rival. On July 25, 1997, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court J. S. Mr. Verma R. Narayanan was administered the oath of office and secrecy. Anuradha started her career with Amitabh and Jaya’s film Abhimaan in 1973, in which she sang a shloka song. Once upon a time, almost every film had Anuradha’s song. He has been honored with Padma Shri by the Government of India in the year 2017. Apart from this, he has also been honored with Filmfare Award 4 times and National Film Award once. She was Born on 27 October 1954 in Karnataka.

Dibyendu Barua, is an Indian chess grandmaster. He is a three-time Indian Chess Champion. He was the second Indian, after Viswanathan Anand, the second Bengali after Niaz Murshed, and the third South Asian after Niaz and Anand to achieve the title of a chess grandmaster. as a 12-year-old, became the youngest participant in the Indian Chess Championship. In 1982, Barua defeated the then-world number two ranked Viktor Korchnoi in London. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1991 by FIDE, becoming the second Indian to achieve the title, after Viswanathan Anand. In 1983, he won the Indian Chess Championship for the first time. He has since won it twice more, in 1998 and 2001. Barua was Born on 27 October 1966 in Kolkata.

Death Anniversary

27 October in Indian history is observed as the death anniversary of the following personalities:

Brahmabandhav Upadhyay (1 February 1861 – 27 October 1907), an Indian freedom fighter, journalist, theologian, and mystic. He helped in the establishment of Shantiniketan of Gurudev Shri Rabindranath Tagore. Brahmabandhav Upadhyay gave many speeches in England on Indian Philosophy. In later days edited many letters and wrote provocative articles against the British. Brahmabandhav Upadhyaya was a prolific scholar who had exceptional mastery over Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Persian languages. He was the first teacher. Brahmabandhav Upadhyay helped Gurudev Sri Rabindranath Tagore in the establishment of Shantiniketan. Brahmabandhav Upadhyay gave many speeches in England on Indian Philosophy. He edited many letters in the latter days and wrote provocative articles against the British. He died on 27 October 1907.

Vijaysinh Madhavji Thakersey (12 October 1911 – 27 October 1987), the greatest cricketer of Don Bradman’s era as Sachin Tendulkar is today. His real name was ‘Vijay Singh Madhavji Thakarse’. If we look at his first-class figures, he comes next after Don Bradman. He averaged 71.64 in these matches. Vijay Merchant used to make films of his innings, then studied them carefully. Although he did not take any coaching for playing in the early days, he went on to become the LP. Was very impressed with Rai’s style-packed batting. He died on 27 October 1987.

Pradeep Kumar (4 January 1925 – 27 October 2001), a famous actor of Hindi and Bengali films. He is remembered in Hindi cinema as an actor who entertained the audience with his historical characters in the 1950s and 60s. In those days, whenever filmmakers needed the role of a king, maharaja, prince or nawab for their films, Pradeep Kumar was remembered. Even today, the audience has not forgotten films like ‘Anarkali’, ‘Taj Mahal’, ‘Bahu Begum’ and ‘Chitralekha’ adorned with her excellent acting. In Pradeep Kumar’s cine career, his pairing with Meena Kumari was very solid.
