25th Edition of Fit India Sundays to Feature Special Tiranga Celebration

A significant milestone in promoting fitness and patriotism is set to unfold with the 25th edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle initiative, known as the Tiranga Rally, scheduled for June 1. Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will spearhead this special event at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. Coinciding with World Bicycle Day on June 3, the rally aims to highlight the importance of cycling in maintaining fitness while honoring Indiaโ€™s armed forces. The event anticipates participation from over 1,200 cyclists in the capital and will be mirrored at more than 2,000 locations nationwide.

National Participation and Celebrity Involvement

The Tiranga Rally will see the Honorable Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, flagging off the Bhubaneswar edition, underscoring the initiative’s nationwide significance. Alongside Dr. Mandaviya in Delhi, notable figures from sports and entertainment will join the rally, including Olympic medallist Yogeshwar Dutt, international wrestler Sarita Mor, Bollywood actress Sharvari, and former cricketer Saba Karim. The event will also feature various activities, including significant project launches, all aimed at promoting fitness and community engagement.

Promoting a Culture of Health

The Tiranga Rally is a pivotal moment in the Fit India movement, which strives to make fitness accessible and inclusive for all. Roads across the country will transform into open-air cycling tracks, inviting families, students, influencers, and senior citizens to participate. This initiative is fostering a culture of health that resonates across diverse demographics and picturesque locations throughout India. The rally not only emphasizes physical fitness but also instills a sense of patriotism among participants.
