Defense Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy successfully flight-tested the Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) off the coast of Odisha on June 24, 2022, at Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur. VL-SRSAM is a ship borne weapon system for neutralizing various aerial threats at close range, including sea skimming targets.
