Shri Dharmendra Pradhan calls for a modern, technology based approach for teaching of Hindi language
Union Minister of Education, Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has called for a modern and technology-based approach to teaching Hindi in different parts of the country. The Minister chaired a meeting of the Governing Council of Kendriya Hindi Shikshan Mandal, Agra in New Delhi today. Kendriya Hindi Shikshan Mandal is the company that manages the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan.
While reviewing the ongoing and proposed work plan of the Sansthan for the current year, Shri Pradhan emphasized the need to consolidate and synergize the work of all the central educational institutions and other organizations involved in various aspects of teaching hindi language to people in the country and abroad. He said that the promotion of all Indian languages โโis among the government’s top priorities, and this is also echoed in the NEP 2020 recommendations. The minister also said that proficiency in Hindi is an important constraint for people with mother different. languages. He has called on Kendriya Hindi Sansthan to expand her Hindi teacher training courses, especially in non-Hindi speaking states, through online means so that her reach can be broadened. He further stressed that the courses offered should be in tune with emerging demands and needs.
Kendriya Hindi Sansthan is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education which is charged with improving the standards of Hindi teaching at various levels, Hindi teacher training and advanced study of Hindi language, literature and comparative linguistics of different Indian languages โโin relation to Hindi.
