Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham

Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi this morning. In Kashi, he prayed at the Kaal Bhairav Temple and at Kashi Vishvanath Dham. He also dipped into the Ganga for a holy bath.

Praying at the feet of ‘Nagar Kotwal’ (Lord Kaal Bhairav), the Prime Minister said nothing special would happen without his blessings. In order to bring blessings to the countrymen, the Prime Minister prayed to the Lord. As soon as one enters Kashi, one becomes free of all bonds, according to the Prime Minister.

“Blessings of Lord Vishweshwara, a supernatural energy awakens our inner soul as soon as we come here”.

The entire complex of Vishwanath Dham is more than just a grand building, he emphasized. It represents the Sanatan culture of our country. This is the symbol of our spirituality. The temple is a symbol of India’s antiquity, traditions, energy, and dynamism. In his words, the Prime Minister said that people who visit here not only see faith but will also feel the glory of the past. Ancient and modern meet here. At the Vishwanath Dham complex, we see how the inspirations of the ancient are guiding the future, he explained.

Earlier, the temple area was only 3000 square feet but has now grown to about 5 lakh square feet. It is now possible to visit the temple and its premises by 50000 – 75000 devotees.

Kashi, the Prime Minister said, is imperishable and under the patronage of Lord Shiva. He thanked all the workers involved in its construction. Not even Corona could stop them. He met the workers and congratulated them. Narendra Modi had lunch with the workers who worked on the construction of the Dham. Aside from the artisans, people associated with construction, administration and those families who live here, the Prime Minister thanked them as well. In addition to all this, he also congratulated the UP government, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who worked tirelessly to complete the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project.

The Prime Minister said the invaders tried to destroy this city. The city has witnessed the atrocities and terror of Aurangzeb. Who tried to change civilization with the sword, who tried to crush culture with fanaticism? The soil of this country is different from the rest of the world. The Prime Minister said that if there is an Aurangzeb, Shivaji is also there. When Salar Masood comes, brave warriors like King Suheldev make him taste India’s unity.
