NIELIT Hosts Yuva Rojgar Mela

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), a leading institution under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India, organized the Yuva Rojgar Mela on September 29, 2024. The job fair took place at NIELIT Delhi’s office located at Pankha Road, Janakpuri, New Delhi, aiming to help students and alumni find job opportunities. Sixteen companies participated in the event, offering over 1,000 job openings, and 1,300 candidates registered for the fair.

Bridging the Skill Gap

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, the Director General of NIELIT and the Vice-Chancellor of NIELIT Deemed to be University. He was welcomed by Shri Subhanshu Tiwari, the Executive Director of NIELIT Delhi.

In his opening speech, Dr. Tripathi spoke about the importance of job fairs like the Yuva Rojgar Mela, which NIELIT organizes across India. Last year alone, NIELIT job fairs offered over 6,000 job placements, and this year, the number is expected to increase. Dr. Tripathi emphasized that these job fairs help students build their careers, support the growth of companies, and boost the overall economy. He praised NIELIT Delhi’s team for successfully organizing the event and also thanked the companies for their participation.

Technical Session on CV Building

During the job fair, an informative technical session was conducted by Shri Mohammad Junaid, the Assistant Manager of Digital India Corporation, MeitY. The session focused on the importance of soft skills and CV building to help candidates improve their job applications.

NIELIT’s Role in Technology and Skill Development

Over the years, NIELIT has grown into a top institution in Information, Electronics, and Communication Technology (IECT) and other emerging technologies. It has an extensive network with 52+ Own/Extension Centers and over 8,000 training partners across India. NIELIT Ropar, located in Punjab, has also been granted Deemed to be University status. It has 11 constituent units located in various cities, including Aizawl, Agartala, Aurangabad, Calicut, Gorakhpur, Imphal, Itanagar, Kekri, Kohima, Patna, and Srinagar.
