Shalini Singh

The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (DoSJ&E), along with its associated organizations and offices, is starting Special Campaign 4.0 from 2nd October to 31st October 2024. This campaign focuses on making government offices cleaner and reducing the number of pending matters. By improving overall cleanliness and organizing workspaces, the campaign aims to make government offices more efficient and provide a better experience for the public.

Preparatory Phase: Setting Targets for Cleanliness and Efficiency

The preparatory phase of Special Campaign 4.0 began on 17th September 2024. During this phase, the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has been setting goals, with a focus on handling pending issues. These include:

  • VIP References
  • PMO References
  • Public Grievances
  • Public Grievance Appeals
  • Parliament Assurances
  • Inter-Ministerial References

In addition to clearing these matters, the campaign focuses on improving the cleanliness of government offices, with special attention to space management and enhancing the workplace environment in field offices. Another important task is the review and disposal of old files and records following the set rules.

Leadership and Review by Shri Amit Yadav

Shri Amit Yadav, the Secretary of the DoSJ&E, has been actively involved in overseeing the preparations for both the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign and Special Campaign 4.0. In various meetings held during the preparatory phase, Shri Yadav reviewed the plans, provided specific targets for each office, and led the officers in taking the Swachhata Pledge. This pledge emphasizes the department’s commitment to cleanliness and efficiency.

Special Campaign 3.0: A Successful Example

The DoSJ&E successfully completed Special Campaign 3.0 in 2023, achieving great results in improving cleanliness across all its offices. The focus of Special Campaign 3.0 was to bring about a complete saturation of Swachhata, ensuring that every office under the department met the highest cleanliness standards. The success of the previous campaign provides a strong foundation for the new phase.

Goals of Special Campaign 4.0

Starting from 2nd October 2024, Special Campaign 4.0 will focus on:

  • Achieving cleanliness goals in all government offices.
  • Minimizing pendency by addressing long-standing issues and references.
  • Enhancing the workspace experience for government employees, especially in field offices.
  • Efficient management of space, files, and records.

The campaign will continue until 31st October 2024, with full involvement from all officers working as a team. The collective efforts aim to make government offices more organized, cleaner, and more welcoming for both employees and the public.
